refrigerator performance degrades quickly over time. i have an much older frigidaire refrigerator chugging along (over 20 years old) and this high tech refrigerator barely makes 7. over the past couple years the refrigerator performance has worsened. now for the refrigerator to work, i have to empty the refrigerator, either turn it off or chip the ice away from the back of the unit where significant ice forms. works for about 2 weeks. not acceptable performance.

the refrigerator works great. i can’t believe there isn’t a front grill guard to stop things from rolling underneath the fridge such as childrens toys, pet toys, etc grill guards have come with refrigerators for years. very inconvenient to keep getting things out from underneath the fridge.

i had a 4 door samsung, loved it, but the ice maker was bad. it's a known issue. it was repaired, but never fully. monthly had to melt off chunks of ice with a blow dryer. new house doesn’t have room for it so i thought i would try another model. this fridge fit the space. simple ice maker, so i thought that issue might be resolved. nope. this ice maker is also bad. every time you open the freezer ice cubes fall out. where do they do? under the fridge? sometimes they slide out and the dog gets them. i guess i'm just leaving puddles underneath my fridge. the only solution we have found is to turn the ice maker before it fills up, and then to turn it back on when we need more ice.

after 14 months, all the door shelves broke similarly (including the lightly loaded butter shelf) and, after contacting samsung support, will cost $460 to replace - half the cost of the fridge.

units freezes up. support says to defrost. temp says 34 degrees, but actually 54 degrees. horrible product.
