It was great until...

Ive enjoyed my LG smart washer/dryer combo until I didnt. For a family of 1 it really seemed perfect. Until it quit drying. No service people in the area. Finally someone came from Sears to look at it and he said it must be fouled up with dog hair German Shepherds do shed. He would need to remove the innards to clean out and for that you have to have a new seal that can only be gotten from LG. So I have to file a service order with LG to see about getting the seal and I still dont know if this is truly the cause. So for the estimated price of repair I purchased a new set of made in the US normal size not too fancy separate washer and dryer. It was fun while it lasted but an expensive toy.

I had the machine for almost a year now. I love the features and does fabulous jobs for washing and drying saving me a lot of time and space Until a month ago the drain was not working it took them twice to fix it and it was a pot holder dropped behind drum not sure how that would happen. What makes me worry is after they put it back together there is this big gap between the rubber and drum next to my door Im worried something will drop in again one day. I hope the designers do better on preventing that also LG train better maintaining professionals on how to fix this type of machine

Worst machine I have ever owned

Ive had this unit for about 4 yearslove the featureswhen they work. I had one machine entirely replaced already under warranty after 3 attempts to fix itthe detergent and softener pumps kept failingsame thing happened to the new unit less than a year later. Warranty company ended up just sending me a check for the value of the machine. Switched to pods to at least side step the non operation detergent and softener pumps to get some more life out of the unit as this was just a minor inconvenience but now the drain pump has failed. Mind you this is their premium line of productsgood joke.
