Leaky dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher because I trusted the name it was quite and washed dishes pretty good but now not even 2 years later I have a major leak underneath and ruined my hardwood floors I'm afraid to fix it because I don't want it to happen again

HORRIBLE Whining noise

I did a ton of research to find the best dishwasher for us and choose this one. After finally getting it installed we turned it on and were immediately let down by the horrible whining noise we heard. Everything else works well, but there is a high pitched whining noise on for the entire cycle. All other aspects of the dishwasher's noise are very quiet but the headache-inducing high pitch noise is one of the loudest noises coming from it, so the 48 db rating is rendered useless. I called ge and had a technician visit but he said it was normal and unfortunately GE is known for high pitched dishwashers - apparently GE is the first brand that comes up when you google "high pitch dishwasher", wish I had known to google that in my research! It is so annoying that I would rather have our old super loud dishwasher than this. We have an open floor plan and you can hear it over the TV. Avoid getting stuck with this.

When it was still working, the dishwasher was doing an acceptable job in cleaning our dishes. We also like the overall appearance of it. The bottle jets with clips are a nice feature to have, which also helps in keeping certain items from moving around freely. One thing we didn't like was the straight tines on one side of the lower rack, which make dishes fall instead of staying straight up, as they do on the other side, where the tines have indents that keep all dishes straight. The other thing we definitely did not like was the very premature breakdown of the appliance. We have used it for one year and four months, running it only every other day, and after that it just stopped working. This is the main reason why we gave it 3 stars and why we would hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

It’s missing a row of rack on the bottom rack. You can’t add more than 1 row of plates. The other rows of racks are too far apart for much of anything. It does clean well tho. Wish I could turn OFF the dry cycle
