If you happen to have a kitchen the does not need to function, this toaster is the one for you. I really wanted to love this appealing addition to my carefully juried and chosen kitchen appliances. Alas, I've been disappointed. This has been an infrequently used toaster, and recently its performance has seemed increasingly anemic. Last night it gave up the Ghost. I've learned that appearance is not everything. The Art Deco designed beauty has been returned to a box on the counter next to my 15 YO Sanyo Toasty, which I pulled out of the attic and pressed into service after a 3 year rest. I paid the premium $300 price tag for the beautiful classic design but it says little or nothing about the durability of the inner workings of the toaster. Advice: Save your. money. Any ideas how I can replace/repair/dispose of this faulty product would be most welcome?

I bought new Pro toaster to replace the one I had, that was probably over 20 years old, just to update from the previous red one. I love the new design, its alot slimmer and it toasts perfect!

I absolutely LOVE my new Kitchenaide toaster. I just bought a new mixer and saw the matching toaster. The features are fantastic! It senses bread and lowers it automatically and if you don’t take it out, the toaster will automatically lower it on a keep warm function. I thought the price was high for a toaster, but it is worth it!!!! This is a lifetime appliance with a metal shell instead of plastic like all the other cheap models on the market. This toaster is built to last.
Broken after only 2 years

We loved the toaster when we bought it. Beautiful design and luxury features. After a year the automatic sensor stopped working. After 2 years half of the heating coils no longer work. Will probably need a new toaster in another year. For the cost and the name, I am very disappointed in lack of durability. Toaster wasn't moved often or used excessively.

After 19 years of amazing toasting, our KitchenAid Ultra Power Plus toaster started to fail. Given the great experience we had, we decided on the ProLine toaster as a replacement. It has been a great addition to our kitchen. We especially love how it toasts bagels. My only two cons of the toaster are it’s size (I don’t like appliances to remain on the countertop and this one is heavy to haul in and out of the cabinet) and the fact it is hard to set the level of toasting darkness the same each time. Half the time I’m having to put the toast back in twice and the other half it’s coming out too dark. I wish there were numbers to really know the levels of darkness being chosen.
